What You Need In A Gaming Computer

To begin, we’d recommend filtering the PCs by your budget and shortlisting any computer that catches your eye. Next, you should carefully read the Nitrix PC guide to understand what the components mean. CPU (Processor)

The CPU is designed to process data at lightning speed, and they need a lot of power to execute instructions and perform a range of tasks that will allow a gamer to play the most demanding games without any hiccups.

AMD Ryzen CPUs

With their Ryzen CPUs and industry-changing chipset technology, AMD has made a triumphant re-emergence into the gaming world.

The newest 5000-Series AMD processors are perfect for gamers who want to level up their gaming setup. With up to 16 cores, 32 threads, 4.9GHz, and 72MB of cache, the latest Ryzen CPUs deliver an outstanding performance so you can easily experience 1440p gaming.

Intel Core CPUs

Despite their fierce competition, Intel’s long-standing reign and processors certainly aren’t showing signs of slowing down.

Intel’s latest processor architecture and fast clock speeds are perfect for gamers who want to get more from their demanding games. With unlocked processors, and advanced overclocking controls, you’ll be able to push your system’s performance even further.

GPU (Graphics Card)

The GPU is the most crucial part of your PC for gaming. That’s because it renders images, scenes and animations that you see on screen to make gameplay happen! Most games today rely heavily upon generating power from graphics cards – but they also come with multiple cores/threads, which means more efficient use when processing various tasks.

Nvidia Geforce GPUs

Graphics cards are a necessary component for any serious gamer. When it comes to performance, there’s no better brand than NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards because they’re at the forefront of graphic technology and provide unmatched power in today’s games!

NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 30 Series are the latest top of the line cards in the market. Made with the Ampere Architecture, these GPUs boast a broad range of exclusive and cutting-edge features with advanced Ray Tracing cores that accurately simulate lighting effects, including indirect lightings diffuse shading or even global illumination!

AMD Radeon GPUs

With an all-new generation of graphics cards, AMD has raised the bar on performance. The Radeon RX series is intended for intense, drawn-out gaming sessions with an exceptional level of precision designed to deliver nothing short of perfection in every game you play.

With the latest AMD Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards made with the pioneering Radeon DNA Architecture, gamers can experience cutting-edge effects, high image quality and smooth frame rates in all their favourite games.

RAM (Memory)

RAM is a crucial component in any gaming PC. If you have been looking for ways to improve your system’s performance and responsiveness, adding more memory could be the answer! In addition to boosting speeds, RAM will allow users greater flexibility on how they want programs running at one time.

For gamers, 8GB is considered to be the baseline when it comes to AAA games. However, many RAM demands are increasing, and for future releases, we recommend 16GB for optimal performance.

If you plan on doing more than just playing games, it may be worth investing in a 16GB set. This will give you enough space to play games, make high-quality live streams, and group chat with friends on Discord whilst having YouTube or Twitch open constantly in the background too!

Storage

Your computer’s storage drive is where you store all of your games, files and other items. It needs to have enough space for game data and anything else you want to keep, like music and videos.

A hard disk drive (HDD) is a popular choice for gamers as long as it has enough capacity to store all of your games. However, HDDs fall short when it comes to the speed of startup periods, like when extended scenes will be attempting to load before gameplay.

Unlike an HDD, an M.2 NVMe SSDs don’t rely on spinning disks or moving parts to store data. Instead, they store persistent data on solid-state flash memory, giving gamers faster boot time and significantly decreasing the time between turning a computer on and playing the latest game. However, to get optimal performance, some gamers use an SSD and HDD combo to take advantage of the fast speed of an SSD and the large capacity of an HDD.
